February’s Wedding Cake Showcase at Henham Barns
Love was in the air—Cupid’s month, also hailed as the most romantic time of year—yet not many couples in the UK tie the knot over the winter period.
Our friends at Henham Barns (https://henhampark.com/weddings/henham-barns/) hosted an Open Day to demonstrate the beautiful options they offer for celebrating weddings during the colder months, and we were delighted to have been invited.
On the day, we showcased some of our three-tier wedding cakes: a semi-naked “Rose & Raspberry Bliss” and a buttercream “Floral Poetry.”

A Taste of Rustic Autumn Bliss & Honeyed Rhubarb Reverie
We also offered the opportunity to taste our Rustic Autumn Bliss, a delicious salted pumpkin sponge harvested from our patch at the farm, filled with our homemade Arequipe caramel and whipped raw cream frosting made with local dairy from our friends at E. S. Burroughs. This was definitely the favourite! Our second seasonal tasting was the Honeyed Rhubarb Reverie, an infused raw honey sponge filled with homemade rhubarb and panela (Venezuelan sugar cane) jam, and whipped raw cream frosting.
It was a wonderful afternoon spent in the beautiful barn, surrounded by incredibly talented teams offering everything you could wish for to help make your special day truly magical. We were delighted to meet the talented photographer Emily @emilytylerphoto, who took stunning pictures of the day and our cakes! And of course, the rest of the wonderful team:

Venezuelan Chocolate: A Love Story in Every Bite
To bid February adieu—it is said that the way to the heart is through the stomach! We have all heard of Engagement Chicken and Marry Me Tofu, but nothing epitomises Valentine’s Day more than chocolate.
