March Highlights: New Cake Mixes, Local Partnerships, and Sweet Celebrations

Last month we had love in the air ♥️ now with spring in full bloom and the daffodils beautifully blanketing our fields we are delighted to share with you what an exciting month we had!

We celebrated Mother’s Day with the introduction of our latest Cake Mixes: Venezuelan Single-Origin Coffee Cake Mix and Gluten-Free Venezuelan Chocolate Cake Mix.

As with our previous very successful kits—the currently sold-out Mili's Moorish Apple Cake with Venezuelan Arequipe and the Special Edition Gluten-Free Venezuelan Chocolate Cake Kit—our new mixes have been designed for both convenience and quality.

All ingredients are provided in the exact quantities required, which means there is no waste. They are fully traceable from local farms in Suffolk. And when we say local, we mean our own backyard—Toadrow Farm. When that is not possible, we source from British suppliers located within 25 miles of our farm.

Here at Mili Mendez, we believe in fostering a strong sense of community, and we invite you to be a part of the family.

When it comes to family we are proud to include our wonderful Cacao Farmer in Venezuela- Federico and his team, which I had the pleasure of visiting last month, it is always an incredibly rewarding experience knowing where your ingredients come from, and to be able to appreciate all the process: from collecting the cacao beans to producing the bars and even wrapping them myself!

And now we are delighted to introduce - from Merida to your table- our latest Cacao Tasters, so you can enjoy this most wonderful and incredibly versatile of ingredients: melt it into the most indulgent hot chocolate, make your own chocolate spread, sprinkle some on porridge, use in baking and in whichever treat you feel like making.

The cacao in these tasters comes from our 2nd Harvest 2024, handpicked From the Sur Del Lago estate and currently in stock at The Canteen in Southwold, Focus Organic in Halesworth along with our new Cake Mixes, or you can order online from our shop and have it delivered straight to your front door.

Talking about introductions- we welcomed our new ladies to join Toadrow Farm!

We had the pleasure of attending the Mother’s Day Lunch Weekend event at The Canteen in Southwold where we offered Cacao Truffles and demonstrated our new mixes:

We would like to thank everyone who purchased the lovely Mother’s Day gifts and attended Local Flavours 2025 Trade Show, what a fantastic day we had!
